“Summer, Summer, Summer time”- I am seriously soooooo excited for summer that I have the old school Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff song on serious replay in my head. I think I may have dated myself a bit..considering that song is way ancient. {However who can forget the good old Fresh Prince of Bel Aire} In the spirit of summer this July Bag is completely dedicated to summer, summer, summer-tiiiimmmmeee! It’s a bag that focuses on the heat, staying hydrated in the summer and a good licking of light, beautiful, long-lasting color. You may want to get ready for this one….
FACE: For the face, when you want coverage but you want to keep it light and air-y for the hot summer months, there is nothing that Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Foundation cant do. A dab of this beaute and your skin instantly is more even, perfected and refreshed.
A dab of this beaute and your skin instantly is more even, perfected and refreshed. Top the foundation with a few swipes of Benefit Cosmetics Fake Up, to help conceal the lines, and under eye imperfections all while hydrating the under eye area. For cheek color, when you want lasting power in the heat, a great option is to throw on a few dabs of MAC Cosmetics Creamblend Blush in Posey, the perfect summer peach that looks ultra gorge on cheeks. Blend a bit on to the apples and voila… perfectly refreshed, summer skin. I can definitely say that this will be my summer cheek jam for sure.
EYES: For the eyes I am classifying myself a neutral lover that likes to keep it simple. I am great at sticking with those neutral pencils and quads when it comes to color. Given my brown eyes, bronze shades seem to look amaze on them and at times have me thinking I may have tiny flecks of gold in the peepers. Chanel Les Ombres Quad in Nymphea, the perfect quad with a ton of summer color. A soft bronze-y brown, a great highlighting cream, soft pink and a beautiful mint green allow you to create different summer loving looks quickly and effortlessly. Rimmel London Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Nude on the waterline seems to open the eyes up, lined with Rimmel London Soft Kajal EyelinerPencil in Soft Sable is the perfect dark, but not black liner to keep it slightly smokey with a touch of bronze without looking too harsh or dark. A few swipes of Maybelline Volum’ Express Falsies Big Eyes in Waterproof Black, on the top lashes, a swipe on the bottom lashes with the uber awesome small bottom lash brush and your peepers are ready to hit the beach. Done…
LIPS: All color aside if I am going to add some color into my summer rotation I often tend to opt for a perfect summer nude, or pink. Two rosy pinky nudes that have hit this selection are: Rimmel London Kate Spring Lipstick Collection in No.16– a beautiful pretty pink that looks just absolutely lovely with a tan bronze-y look. And MAC Cosmetics Lipstick in Jubilee – a great nude-y pink almost lip color like shade. Both pair amazingly with MAC Cosmetics Lip Liner in Subculture– a great pink nude liner that you can wear alone or under lipstick. This lip liner is one of my absolute favorites of all time. Perfect for all occasions year round. If I am in the keeping in ultra light mood I turn to my trusty Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors in #02 Apricot Shimmer and #06 Rosewood Shimmer both a brilliantly beautiful colors that are amazing on the lips. Not sticky at all, just like butter on the lips. A current must have at the moment.
EXTRAS: A great summer extra that I often tend to carry around with me is the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater. This stuff is AH-MAZING!!! It is perfect mid day pick me up that helps keep the skin hydrated and refreshed without messing up makeup at all. A perfect summer carry along extra to help brighten the day and instantly refresh the skin– love it!! Into the Beauty Bag these hydrating options go. Time to dig out the shades, since summer just got a bit more tan, light and bronze-y in this parts. What are some of your summer time favorites? I will be waiting for recommendation with paper in hand….
