Happy Monday everyone!!! This Monday is an especially hard Monday {enter the time change; although sunlight longer makes it worth it}. Getting used to the time change and learning to adjust when you’re inner clock is used to being behind a hour, is well… a bit HARD!
Hope everyone had a great weekend and is ready to take this week by storm. I know I am. Monday is usually the roughest day of the week, but I am making a vow to myself to make everyday a better day. Everyday a day that is as exciting as a Friday. {Fingers are crossed}.
This weekend was full of great things. The amazing sunlight after a rainy day in good old Southern California; a great haul of amazing things {that I cant wait to share with you all}, and just some great relaxing. Catching up on my over full dvr, grocery store adventures, a blind date {more about that in the future}, and GREAT California weather. This upcoming week is supposed to be filled with weather that is almost comparable to that of our summer. YAY!!!! Although I am a huge fan of the cold, winter weather {we never get much}; I am excited to bust out shorts on the weekend; not go to work daily like I work in Antarctica {although it is below zero in there daily}; eating lunch at Chipotle with my work girls, and basking in the sunlight {can’t wait}. I have a feeling that this week is going to be an AMAZING week.
I have a fresh manicure and am ready to take the week by storm. Which by the way can I just say the new OPI Euro Centrale collection has some of the most A-M-A-Z-I-N-G colors ever! Colors that are bursting with great names {like always}, a bursting with the most Spring happy colors EVER! I recently went CRAY CRAY over these colors and bought wayyyyyy too many. I mean who can pass up names like “Suzi’s HUNGARY Again”, “I saw…U saw… we saw Warsaw” up. I ran out time this weekend and missed my appointment to get a mani/pedi; so I decided to give myself one. And I might say… I did a DAMN good job!!! {pat on back}
EASY TIPS TO A PERFECT AT HOME MANICURE
- Start by removing current nail polish if any
- Clip, cut, file/buff your nails for the canvas that they are about to become
- Soak hands in luke warm water for about 5 minutes to help soft skin {this is imperative to make those cuticles soft}
- Push back cuticles
- Apply 1 coat nail polish base {I used Essie Grow Stronger base coat} this will help your manicure color have something to help stick to. Also it helps fill in any ridges if you need.
- Apply 2 coats of your favorite color { I used OPI Suzi’s HUNGARY Again} the perfect coral pink. Perfect for this upcoming amazing weather we are about to have.
- Next apply accent nail { for this I used one of my FAVES- Essie Luxe Effects in Shine of the times; which is a perfect mix of gold, silver and pearl sparkle.. LOVE}
- Next apply your top coat. {I used Essie No Chips Ahead top coat}. Wait about 15 minutes before doing much of anything and allow polish to dry. And voila!!! You are ready to go and enjoy the week!
Hope you all, have a wonderful, wonderful week.
Are you enjoying any favorite nail colors? What are your plans for the week? I would love to hear!!!
