Enter scrub–a-dub-dub time {I can’t believe I just said that…} this is a time that you work on polishing your dry winter skin and turning it into soft, amazing Spring/Summer skin. I compiled a list of some AMAZING facial polishes that I have tested and tried numerous time and feel that they are the best of the best in their field.
{$5-$10}Drugstore bargain: YES to Grapefruit Daily Facial Scrub $9.99. This stuff is AMAZING and it smells PHENOMENAL {If you cant tell I am huge on how things smell} This brand I tend to rave about non- stop on Twitter { I am a huge fan of the Yes to brands.. if you cant tell here, here or here}. Literally upon usage this scrub will make your face feel A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. It leaves your skin brighter, more radiant and clearer than before. It contains grapefruit extract {obviously} which is super rich in vitamins and has natural brightening properties to help with skin discolorations and ward off free radicals. It also contains Lemon Balm Extract which is known to be a natural antibacterial to help ease any skin irritations. This stuff is AMAZING and for $9.99 it is a MUST HAVE.
{$15-$25}Mid Range Price Point: Mario Badescu Kiwi Facial Scrub $15. Mario Badescu makes some of the most amazing products ever {Hello Drying Potion…I cant live without you} and this product doesn’t fail. It smells AMAZING on your skin and doesn’t dry you out at all. It is so gentle that you don’t even realize it is exfoliating your skin. Made with real Kiwi seeds {you can see them in the tub clearly} and soft bits of seaweed to help naturally slough away all the surface skin gently; while it is enhanced with the Kiwi’s natural AHA to breakdown the dull skin build up preventing blackheads and improve the skins overall texture and feel. It literally leaves your skin so soft and smooth it is VERY impressive.
The next is one of my favorite products at this moment. One Love Organics Brand New Day $39. I raved about this Wednesday in my review of One Love Organics Travel Essentials Kit. I received this as a PR sample via and literally have been OBSESSED with it since. It is more than just a scrub it is a two in one. {Who doesn’t like a two in one} It can be used as a scrub if you add water to it and make it into a thick paste that helps scrub every inch of your body {SCORE} It contains sweet pea flour and fresh pineapple enzymes to help rid skin of dead skin cells while being gently enough to protect the new. You can use this everyday if you choose. And you can use this as a mask by mixing with either raw honey for a clarifying masque , with water for a tightening effect, or for a moisturizing mecca of a masque with some Greek yogurt. Leave on for about 15- 20 minutes and you are radiant, smooth, soft and AMAZING!!! {hello… who doesn’t want those results}
{$40- $60}Higher Price Point : Dermalogica Microexfoliant$52. This product has literally been in heavy rotation in my shower lately { I have been breaking out.. major stress lately} It is a very unique, rice based enzyme powder that activates releasing Salicylic Acid and Rice Enzymes to help smooth skin and accelerate skin renewal. It helps brighten skin with a unique blend of bearberry, grapefruit and licorice to help balance uneven skin pigmentation { I pick often… such a bad habit}. It also produces active agents from rice bran and rice extract to help regulate the melanin production all while exfoliating the dead skin cells. It doesn’t exactly have the best smell in the world {smells a bit like rice chalk} but it is literally leaves your skin smooth, refreshed and ready to take on the Spring and Summer weather. It is gentle and can be used every single day. It is a bit pricey but it is sooooooo WORTH IT and AMAZING!!!
What are some of your favorite facial polishes and scrubs? I would love to hear… I am always on the look- out for new amazing products to try!!

Much agreed. Good Old Apricot Scrub is still one of my faves as well. I use it in huge moderation {maybe once a month now}. It has a ground walnuts as one of its main ingredients; which can be bad for you skin. Since it is micro-tearing your skin and can be very abrasive. Which in the long run can cause you to thin your skin and make it very sensitive to things.
