Lately I have been on a ‘less is more’ beauty kick. I am starting to embrace a dewy skin now that the weather has changed and it won’t look a la ‘oily face’. I don’t know what it is… but something about perfect dewy, radiant skin is just crazy on my mind. I have been a huge fan of BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector, as it is just beautiful on the skin. Mixed with a tad of foundation equals instant radiant, luminous skin or you can toss a bit of the tops of cheekbones for a beautiful highlighted look. This product is just simply amazing. On a shopping trip – I have been taking far too many of those lately- I perused by Sephora and caught a glimpse of the BECCA Pressed Shimmering Skin Perfector, and OMG!!!!!! Wait no further ladies; I bring you now a much awaited product in the beauty world- BECCA Pressed Shimmering Skin Perfector…
In the beauty world, BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector – $41 USD has been used by many makeup artists, beauty bloggers, and You Tube gurus abroad; it is becoming a bit of the cult beauty classic for beautiful luminous skin. So when BECCA announced that this baby would now be housed in a pressed compact- I was instantly in LOVE!!! Let the swatch-a-thon began as I dipped my hands into the array of BECCA Pressed Shimmering Skin Perfector– $38 USD. With 3 beautiful colors to choose from: Opal- a peachy golden pinky pearl, Topaz- a beautiful golden bronze and Moonstone- a pale golden pearl. Let me just say this product is AMAZING!!! A perfect multi-tasker – you know me and multi taskers… but this product can be used for so many different things all leaving you with glowing beautiful; Jennifer Lopez like skin. After swatching the colors I choose to go with Topaz in the Pressed formula {I already have both Opal and Moonstone in the liquid version}. The Pressed formula is packed with a variety of multi toned pearl particles that give the skin a creamy powder like application- it doesn’t settle into fine lines and wrinkles- score! And it tends to stay put all day long.
Since the product is very pigmented I tend to reach for a fluffy MAC 224 blending brush or my fingers to dust the ever so lightest amount on the skin. This product literally feels like butter when you touch it, so smooth and super creamy. It is also very, very, VERY pigmented. Literally a tiny bit will do you without looking like a shimmering disco ball. Topaz is such a beautiful color on the cheeks that it literally makes the skin look beautiful from a distance. A dust on the cheekbones, a tad on the brow bone and voila…. Instant Jennifer Lopez!
This product is a dream in a compact and allows skin to look beautiful and radiant. However if you have a really heavy hand, I might have to tell you to pass and reach for the liquid version- as you will get a bit too shimmery with the pressed version. A bit of practice and light dusting and I think I am starting to get into my groove. Beware Jennifer Lopez… some serious skin channeling going on here….
