If you would have told me a month ago that when summer is winding down, I would be digging a shimmering tan-esque like blush, I probably would NOT have believed you at all- especially since end of summer usual means bring out the Autumn like shades. As a self-proclaimed lover all things simple and natural, with the ever so odd color thrown into the mix at times. My usual go to is a bit of bronzer to add a nice glow to the cheeks and shimmer has never really been my thing- a la disco ball accident back when I was experimenting with highlighters in my late teens- I mean who ever said to put MAC Shroom all over for a glow was for sure smoking crack. It does not and I repeat does NOT photograph well- unless shiny disco ball is your thing. Long story short, something recently just clicked and I blame the upcoming lust for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette for it- but that is another story at another time. Something about these wonder powders mixed with a hint of glowing color made me realize a bit of shimmer never hurt anyone- and now it was time to take the plunge and snag Becca Beach Tint Souffle- Fig/Opal…
Warmer than NARS Orgasm with a side of MAC Sunbasque blended with MAC’s Whisper of Gilt Dimension Powder {the best highlighter for the skin EVER} this four in one whipped air like souffle is simply amazing. It reminds me of the creamy, fluffy version of Laura Mercier’s Spellbound mixed with a solid glow of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Radiant Light. The innovative formula takes the original Becca Beach Tint and mixes it together with their amazing Pressed Shimmery Skin Perfector. I have the shade Fig/Opal and OMG I am obsessed with this shade. In the pot it looks like a loose like powder but when you touch it, it feels like a spongy like whipped cream souffle. The formula is a bit on the shimmery side as it looks to be more for an illuminating effect on the skin. It is simply gau-jus!
On my olive tan skin this seems to add a bit of shimmer with a side of golden peach color, it applies super easy applied either with bare fingers or with a brush. It is supposed to be water resistant- however I have yet to really test drive that function of it, since I don’t really go out of my way to get dolled up if I am going swimming or to the gym. The light wash is perfect of a simple #iwokeuplikethis look but gorgeous enough to rock as a highlighter in the evening. I can totally see how people are loving the no-makeup look right now as it is starting to become a staple in my beauty arsenal. A lightweight base, some mascara, a bit of a clean brow, a semi bright lip with a bit of shimmer on the cheeks for the day. Who knew that shimmer could be this much fun… and simply amazing?
Are you loving the #iwokeuplikethis look right now? Have you tried the BECCA Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle yet?

I love these, I have Guava and Watermelon. Guava has more shimmer than Watermelon. They are nicely pigmented and feel like a whisper on the face!

I love Becca but sometimes their products are hit or miss. I need to be able to see this swatched on darker skin.
