Awwww…. April has arrived. The official start of Spring, brings out the saying “April showers”… and time for a Spring Break seasonal travel excursion. Time to rid the beauty bag of transitional makeup and jump full force into travel mode. I’ve got all the bases covered this month- complexion, lashes, eyes and nails all ready to hit the sail and jump into travel mode in this months April Beauty Bag…
As we all know a good ‘glow from within’ begins with a solid base. After much twitter-esque chatte in the blogosphere, I settled on a highly pigmented, super sun protecting CC cream. Brings the best of both worlds, sun protection and good for the skin ingredients mixed with some solid long lasting, coverage coloring control. whew that was a lot of c’s… Light on the skin, and just the right amount of coverage for this month’s beach vacation the Cover FX CC Time Release Tinted Treatment SPF 30– $45 USD, this stuff is phenomenal. Dewy on the skin, yet just the perfect amount of coverage… Oooooh some good stuff here! Since the beach is where we will be this vacation, a bit of swipe color on the lids is perfect for day and night. FLOWER Beauty Shadow Play Eyeshadow Quad in Foxy Browns– $9.99 USD, this quad hold a bit of everything. A light shade to highlight the inner eye, brow bone, and on the top of the cheekbones a la highlighting. A smokey brown shade to turn up the drama for night, and taupe-y brown shade to have a sheer wash of color during the day, and a darker grey like shade to use as liner. Travel packed and full of choices, this quad rocks. To top off the eyes is a new mascara to the market, that I am obsessed with- MAC Studio Sculpt Lash– $16 USD, OMG this mascara is a lash building, extending, volumizing mecca in one. The brush is like a comb so you are left with clump free lashes. Wiggled a bit down from the base of the lashes up to the lips of the lashes, and instant long, thick lashes- score!
Rounding out the Beauty Bag is a bit of lip and nails action. For the lips I am keeping it is fairly neutral with my favorite glow giver. BITE Beauty Honey Lip Lacquer in Chianti- $24 USD. Good for the lips ingredients, mixed with a bit of color added to the lips- not sticky and some long lasting, waterproof action. Perfect for a dip in the pool, the ocean or to head out on the town for the night. On to the nails, my polish choice is a bit different than usual. Essie Nails in Style Hunter– $8.99 USD, something about this poppy shade of crimson is just calling my name. Lacquered on the tips and toes, this polish has me screaming vacation loud and clear. Can you hear it?
So there you have it out with the old, and in with the vacation travel. Its a traveling kind of month, and my beauty bag is ready. Ahoy, Captain!

Thanks to you I am a FLOWER Beauty convert and official fan!! This quad is hands down probably my most reach for at the moment. And the fact that it mimics a CHANEL one for way less of the price, is even better. xxo

Hands down amazing CC cream. Miss Phyrra talked about it, and I was totally enabled to get some for myself. Honestly a perfect purchase. I love it. And it is sooooo pigmented for being a American CC cream.
