Sleeping is something that I tend to struggle with alot lately. I love getting under the covers after a long day, pajamas on, cozy in bed. The perfect amount of pillows mixed with the warmth of a good blanket. However I am starting to develop a bit of a bedtime ritual in order to accommodate my body and gain a bit of relaxation and zzzzzzz’s. Lately I have been relying on a wonderful thing called aromatherapy. Pillow Sprays, body lotions, a calming candle and a lovely aromatherapy stick are vast becoming huge GO- TO’s when it comes to my bedtime routine. After trying endless amounts of items, I have found something that helps result in as close to peaceful nights rest as possible…. Enter a few items in my deep sleep bedtime routine….
Bath and Body Works, has a huge array of aromatherapy items in their Spa collection… With items ranging from Sleep to Energy and Stress Relief. I decided to give the Sleep line a go; and the results so far have been quite pleasing. Sleep Lavender and Chamomile Pillow Mist,it a relaxing and calming scent. With the perfect blend of lavender and chamomile; you can spray a few sprays onto your pillow at night and it helps make your time to fall asleep a bit quicker. Make sure to spray at least 6-8 inches away from the pillow to ensure that you wont have a soggy wet spot. Sleep Lavender and Chamomile Body Lotion, is a true winner in my book. Moisturizing and very relaxing this lotion helps keep skin hydrated will calming down the mind to ensure a good nights rest. I love this step in my night time routine; as it is definitely helping me doze off way sooner than later. Paired with a Gold Canyon RELAX Lavender Chamomile Aromatherapy Infused Candle, happily burning on my bedside table until lights out; this the night burning beauty helps set the perfect mood to de-stress and relax.
My hands down favorites item of all is the Lavender Chamomile Sleep Rollerball Stick, this is my immediate go to when I am in major need to relaxation. Rolled on my temples, a bit under the nose, and down the nape of the neck; this beauty helps instantly set the tone for bed. Its one of those “do-it-all” products and is easy to take on the go in case you need to sleep assistance when on travel.
Of course the real question here is do they actually aid in sleeping better and relaxation; in my thoughts YES! Coming from a fellow insomniac I find that the days that I tend to use this ritual {lately is becoming daily} I in fact do have a better nights rest. One thing that I can vouch for is that this night time ritual has helped me taking a minute and breathing. Un-plug from technology, take a de-stressing bath, light my candle and just enjoy the aromatic effects. In fact writing this post, I am starting to feel a bit of a heavy eye….. Effects are effortless!!
What are some of your night time rituals?!?
