Kosas Tinted Face Oil Foundation
A few weeks ago my friend Ange and I were talking about the KOSAS Tinted Face Oil Foundation, and how we both were pretty intrigued to try it. You see when both of us are drawn to a foundation it is super rare- because our skin types are complete opposite of the spectrum. She runs super dry and I tend to run combination to oily. But we both ordered and it and WOW our experiences couldn’t have been any more the same. It takes a lot for me to say something is the REAL DEAL when it comes to a lightweight perfect “non makeup” makeup look. But KOSAS Tinted Face Oil Foundation nailed this formulation hands down.
You see this product is pure perfection if you are looking for a dewy, luminous look but not overdone. It’s almost hard to explain the finish other than it feels like SKIN. I learned a while ago during a makeup class with Scott Barnes the best way to make your foundation feel like skin and look like skin on the face is to blend it with a face oil- which is why I was super drawn to this product. While the coverage is very “no makeup” with a light side of coverage, your skin just like looks better. It’s glowy (but not too glowy) and evened out. It glides on the skin beautifully whether you use your fingers or use a beauty blender to blend it in.
I was worried it was going to be super greasy on me especially as the day goes on- but it never did. I applied it both on top of a moisturizer and in place of a moisturizer and honestly both ways looked perfectly the way I wanted them too and by days end I wasn’t looking like a greasy disco ball either. The one thing you will want to make sure of doing is SHAKE the bottle a bit before applying – that way the formula gets blended and doesn’t come out too runny.
For those looking for a great summer foundation that is lightweight and gives you the perfect glow- THIS IS IT! For shade reference I grabbed shade: SHADE 05 and SHADE 5.5– they are super similar shades just one is more yellow undertones and the other is a bit more golden.
