Next up in the blush category is the good ole’ original powder blushes…. Nowadays you can’t really go wrong with a timeless blush color that looks good on all skin complexions. MAC Mineralized Blush in Dainty$25 USD, is the perfect pink toned blush with a bit of a gold shimmer undertone. This blush looks gorgeous on everyone; it complements the skintone effortlessly and is just simply stunning on the cheeks. Another in this category is one that is actually a dupe for the cult classic NARS Laguna bronzer and Orgasm blush. ELF Cosmetics Bronzing and Blush Duo in St.Lucia $3 USD is not only extremely affordable, but it is literally an exact dupe for the NARS. The pigmentation on the ELF is actually quite stunning and took me by a bit of surprise for being so great. Perfect in price, and readily available at the drugstore, this duo is hands down a keeper.
The last members in the summertime blush picks are in a category of their own. They are not quite creams, not quite gels, and not quite powders. I call this category a hybrid. I am currently having a HUGE LOVE affair with Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee’s $22USD, these gel like creams go on the skin beautifully. They blend amazingly into the skin and they hydrate the cheeks for up to 14 hours. I almost feel as though these dry on the skin like a powder finish. I am a huge fan of these and literally can’t wait to collect all 6 colors. Let the madness continue…. Already have 4 of the 6… eeekkkkk!! The next hybrid in the collection is the Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush $8.99 USD, this Peach Satin color is beautiful. It is the perfect combination of pink and coral to help create the most beautiful shade. This gel powder combination allows the color to blend easily amongst the skin, and allows for a build-able sheer shade on the cheeks. Hands down great formulation and a grand price tag as well. I currently have two of these and am looking to expand my stash. There you have it… that wraps up the current summertime blushes that are working their way into the rotation. I think I can firmly admit- I’m definitely back into blushes. What are a few of your faves?!?
