I am not sure of what nail polish action has been going on recently. It seems that every time I hit Target, CVS, Walgreens or Sephora I can’t help but walk out with not one, but two or three pretty new polishes. Lately the nail polish brands are totally stepping up their game. The bottles and new colors just seem to be calling my name every time I am close to them. Eeeeeekkkkk…. Lately it’s the bright colors that seem to be calling my name loud and super clear. Let’s just say… the polish push is on and going…..
First up, is probably a few of my favorite Essie Nail Polish colors EVER!!!! With super wonderful names and equally phenomenal colors; these have to be some of the best summer colors. Naughty Nautical– a brilliant turquoise beach-y blue with a hint of silver shimmer, Sunday Funday– a peach-y mango coral color {my current nail jam at the moment} with a slight silver sheen, Play Date– one of my favorite bright lilac purples that screams flirt. I adore this color- it makes tan skin look even tanner. LOVE! And last but not least Peach Daiquiri– a beautiful pinked up flamingo coral. This color is the perfect amount of pink, with a tad of peach, and a slight slap of a watermelon-y red. Beautiful on the nails for summer.
Something a little more subtle without any shimmer is Julep Maven Nail Polish in Gloria. This beautiful creamy orange-y coral crème. The brush is absolutely fabulous, the finish is beautiful and the color is phenom. Followed by my drugstore favorite Rimmel London 60 second dry in Red Hot Chili Pepper, this color is my current go- to and has probably been on my nails in full blown rotation for the past month or two. It’s a beautiful CHANEL Holiday-ish color. The perfect reddish, orange with a dash of coral. The brush is fab; the staying power is AH-MAZING. Let’s just say this stuff stayed on my nails chip-free for well over 5 days. FAB!!!
Last but not least is another go to brand. Butter London has some of the most brilliant colors. They are 3 free {free from formaldehyde, toluene and DBP}. My two go to summer colors are the beautiful Champers– a rose gold shimmer and Snog– a bright, brilliant hot pink. I have been loving every Butter London nail polish that I have come across. The colors are brilliant, the names are impeccable and the finish is AH-MAZE… A bit pricey, but well worth every penny.
When it comes to summer polishes… I only have one word that I can use to express them- WOW! After many purchases and many trial and errors of perfect summer colors, I think I have found a great bunch of beauties. Now the hard part…. deciding which one to color my nails next. You can never have too many options – right?
