As of recent there is a some element to the humid hair oil fixer, prolonging a healthy glow, add some peachy coral, and some faux lashes through mascara thrown in, that have been gracing my current loves as of late. I decided after much deliberation as I slowly revamp some of the categories that my blog beholds, that I slowly start introducing new series of posts that will help keep things simple. Since this is the first of many to come, I decided to start scribbling down some of my current faves that are turning into locked staples in my collection. It’s time to check in and bring you what I am Currently Loving {volume 1}…
First up on the roster is a beauty related item that I never seem to touch base on. Hair care although equally important is never really my focus, as I have dry, frizzy hair and when I find what works for me… I stick to it. However as mentioned in other posts with this nasty heat wave we have been experiencing in Southern California my hair care routine had to get some much needed added oomph. L’Oreal Paris Advanced Haircare Total Repair Multi- Restorative Dry Oil-$6.99 USD has been my current go to. A unique blend of Coconut Oil and Olive Oil this daily leave in hair treatment oil has helps add some much needed taming to my mane. I spritz a bit of this on in the morning and it helps revitalize hair from root to tip. It’s not greasy at all and doesn’t seem to weigh my hair down- which is a huge added bonus since I do love me some volume. It adds just the right amount of sheen and helps ease the frizz brought on by the humidity and tames those pesky flyaways. This hair oil is quickly becoming a fast favorite so don’t be too surprised if you hear about it again in the near future.
Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Powder in B40 is also something I have been reaching for a ton this week. As mentioned in my September Beauty Bag {here} this powder is helping me extend a bit of the summer tan I acquired all while adding a bit of sheer luminosity to the skin. I have quite a few shades in this powder- B 60 and B 70 for bronzing and contouring and B 40 for a more overall skin tone shade; I can see this powder being a long time love in my current stash as it is not too sheer, not too heavy- but it adds the perfect amount of extra wow to the skin- Besides who can resist the beautiful cream classic packaging. I dust a bit of this on in the morning, add a tad of concealer to the under eyes and go straight to….
Revlon Photo Ready Cream Blush in Pinched– $12.99 USD, now I do love me a good blush. Not too pink, not too peach- just right. This one is beautiful on the skin. It adds a slight oomph of sun kissed wash to the cheeks. Blends like a dream, and is a perfect budget buy. The color is a perfect color year round, and can be used for various looks. Not too done up, not too much sheen- just a great addition in the one stop cheek shop.
Too Faced Cosmetics Better than False Lashes Nylon Extension System– $35 USD, not this I was super intrigued by when I walked by it on a recent outing. The clerk at Sephora sold me on, after a quick demonstration. When it comes to mascara, I am sold on anything that promise a false lash look without having to actually add false lashes. This mascara is a two part system that is seriously genius. You prep the lashes with a quick coat of the activating base- followed with a quick coat of the Flexistretch Nylon Fibers adding fibers on the lashes to build them up, and lastly a coat from root to tip of the activating base again. Voila… you are left with instant lashes that are longer, fuller, and clump free. You can continue to build them up if you a desire a more enhanced fuller, false lash effect. Literally lashes are 42% longer and 98% more volumized- I think I found a winner for adding some instant glam to my routine.
A bit of frizz control for the hair, a sheer wash of cheek action color followed with a healthy glow and a glam lash; and that wraps up my current loves for the week. What are a few of yours?
