Happy Friday Everyone! This week I sat and pondered for a while about starting to post on Fridays. Since it hasnt been something I have done completely often in the past, I wasnt sure if I would be able to uphold my post schedule. So I decided in an effort to start a new series, ‘Friday Fixation’. I am so excited to share with you weekly one post that is dedicated to a product that I am absolutely fixated on with its all amazingness. So, lets kick this series off with the first Friday Fixation: Lotus Facial Oil….
Clarin’s Lotus Face Treatment Oil– $52 USD, is a uber AMAZING facial treatment oil combined with a natural astringent of plant extracts. This exclusive blend of rosewood, geranium and lotus extracts that helps cleanse, purify and tighten pores and refine the skin’s texture; all while hazelnut oil helps soothe the skin. Lightweight in texture yet chalked full of goodness this oil helps replenish, rejuvenate and cleanse the skin. Facial oil is starting to become a HUGE part of my daily beauty routine, and it helps rebalance my skin and keep breakouts under control. I used to be a huge believer in oil on skin is no good, but let me tell you- oil on skin is hands down heaven sent and works wonders. A good oil can work wonders on the skin and help rebalance your skins chemistry. Amazingness!
At a recent makeup application workshop by celebrity makeup artist Scott Barnes, he used Clarins Lotus Oil in his actual application technique and routine. Scott prepped the skin with his concoction and followed with mixing the Clarins Lotus Oil with a creme foundation. The finish was absolutely stunning and flawless. The skin was never once left greasy or shiny, but simply gorgeous. A full coverage, yet slightly dewy-matte is that even a word finish. I have also tried this trick mixing the Lotus Oil with a bit of full coverage foundation {Make Up For Ever Full Coverage} adding a dab of oil on the inner/bottom corners of my eyes patting in and pressing into the skin very gently. Then apply a bit of concealer on top, OMG the finish is stunning. Not greasy, non- cakey and just long lasting coverage.
When the skin is losing its luster and needs a bit of added oomph, I have been adding a drop or two of the Lotus Oil into my moisturizer. Giving the moisturizer a bit of a souped like combo, and some instant pressing into the skin. Voila instant hydration and added moisture within moments of application. Love!
Time to get fixated on Facial Oil, and get ready for fabulous, dewy skin!
