It’s that time of the month again… The prior month ends, and the start of a new month and all that it holds. It is also that time that I go through my lists of current favorites and most often reached for’s. My best of June contains a light mix of makeup, lifestyle and skincare picks. Consisting of an immaculate foundation, a heavenly gelee that gives a sheer wash of beauty on the cheeks, tension relief oil that helps mind, body and soul and some nail lacquers like no other. So without much further ado…. Here are my June favorites…
First things first, I die around this time every year. Bath & Body Works has the most phenomenal farm fresh scents Bath & Body Works Lemon Mint LeafCandle, is AH-MAZING!!! The perfect blend of lemon mixed with a sweet mint scent. A perfect post spring scent that has me currently narrowing down what my newest summer scent will be. Skincare made a bit of a splash this month in my favorites. I have been beginning to love my trusty Origins GinZing Eye Cream; this illuminating eye cream in a tub is hands down phenomenal. It is perfect for the summer as it is very light, slightly enhanced with illuminator that helps conceal those pesky dark circles all while de-puffing and making the peepers beach ready. I have been a huge Mari Badescu fan for a while now. And after a slight breakout session this month, I have been seriously loving Mario Badescu Botanical Facial Gel, this stuff is PHENOMENAL. Enhanced with grapefruit extract –a huge favorite of mine this month it is very cleansing and exuberating. Hands down —love this stuff!!!!
Makeup this month has been a tough one. From wonderful mascaras to beautiful lip colors, I have been seriously obsessed with all things beauty this month. Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation* {seen here} is a MAJOR addition to my Holy Grail collection. It is PHENOMENAL. Not only does it keep the skin balanced, but it also helps clear skin. Ummmm… hello who wouldn’t want that?!? Very much IN love with this foundation and highly recommend it to anyone. The perfect summer foundation! CHANEL Illusion d’ombre in Emerveille, is a beautiful, beautiful color. It reminds me of MAC All that Glitters eye shadow, but in a long lasting creamy pigment formula. A dash blended on the lids, highlighting the inner eye, a tad under the brow bone and its instant amazing-ness on the eyes. MAC Paint Pot in Éclair, I love, love, LOVE this paint pot. It is a creamy rich, chocolate bronze-y brown. It is just brilliant on the eyes and with a quick wisp across the eye lid; you are ready to take on the town. Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow pencil is my current must have. Almost made of a waxy like creamy color, this eye brow pencil allows my brows to look done and perfect without looking harsh and overdone. With a brow brush attached on the lid, it makes application easy-peasy and very travel friendly. Wrapping up the eyes are two great mascaras that I have been reaching a lot for lately and equally mixing and layering them. Revlon Lash Potion and Maybelline Volume Express Falsies are amazing on the lashes. Together they lengthen, separate, and literally give eyes that false lash effect without looking harsh, heavy or clumpy. Instant eye opener.
Lips, nails and cheeks have been taken care of this month with a few of my instant favorites that I like to call ‘love at first swipe’. I have been having a serious love affair with Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee’s. These cheek gelee’s are AH-MAZING. They go on like a gel and dry with a beautiful powder like finish. I am hands down IN LOURVE with these. They are long lasting, and just beautiful. Lips have been covered this month with KORRES Lip Butter in Mango and NYX Cosmetics Butter Gloss in Crème Brulee. These two lip products are true to their name; they go on like butter and have a beautiful sheer pigmented wash of color. Perfect for those days that you want color, but not the heavy feeling of a lipstick. Nails have been lacquered all month long with a ever flowing abundance of Rimmel London 60 second dry {here} These are the perfect quick manicure fix, dries in 60 seconds and literally have a lasting power of about 5 days with no chips. Can you say AMAZING drugstore find.
Wrapping up my favorites is the Aveda Blue Oil Balancing Concentrate. This oil rubbed on the temples, down the nap of the neck helps calm, sooth, and release any built up tension as well as relieve tense muscles. I have been using this a lot lately to relieve ache-y muscles. It seriously has helped. The wonderful blend of chamomile and peppermint, it smells clean, fresh and beautiful. A must needed stroke of relief… I can see a few of these favorites earning Holy Grail status and a trio of products that I don’t see going anywhere anytime soon. What are a few of your favorites?
