Oh my goodness y’all, it is almost New Years Eve. Say what?? New Years Eve is probably one the hardest nights of the year to plan and arguably the most tipsy night as well. So if you are in need of some New Years Eve inspiration- you came to the right place. This weeks edition of The Beauty Council presents is giving you a huge and I mean HUGE dose of New Years Eve inspiration with loads of beauty loving- eeekkkkkk! Whether your New Years Eve consists of a quiet night in with some friends and family, a raging party where you ‘keep on dancing til the world ends’ or you are doing a low-key dinner with your guy- I have found a New Years Eve look that is low-key enough for that dinner yet fancy enough for a night out partying. Whatever your plans are, here is one less thing to plan. I bring you New Years Eve Beauty: Mirabella Beauty Style…
If you are planning to head out to the restaurant with your main squeeze and ready to ring in the New Year then a bronzed out smokey eye, perfectly candlelit cheeks and a glossy nude lip is the way to go. So lets jump right into the face. First things first, start with a melt proof base like this one by Laura Mercier here and a touch of concealer in just right the places. I always tend to opt for one that has a bit oomph in the coverage and is creamy upon application such as this one by NARS here. Followed by a light dusting of my trusty favorite powder here. Add a bit of color to the cheeks- for me I have been loving this plum-like blush with a swirl of pink in it, and the cheekbones topped with a dusting of Mirabella Beauty Swirling Pearl Brilliant Powder*- $40 USD. OH MY GOODNESS this highlighting powder is seriously the most gorgeous powder I have seen. A bit of champagne mixed with gold flecks topped with a cupcake pink frosting like veil. The texture is pure amazingness as it glides on top of the cheeks with the most luxurious pearl like sheen. Let me just say this- YOU NEED this product in your life!
Moving on to the eyes- I have been having a solid neutral eye moment as of late, and a bronzed out smokey eye is the way to go for a New Years Eve Look. I started with a light application of an eye shadow base like this one here, followed with Mirabella Beauty Myth Visionary Long Wear Eyeshadow*-$29 USD. This gorgeous creamy like powder eyeshadow is simply phenomenal. The shade is a deep bronzed like cocoa shade that literally brings some much-needed neutral loving drama to the eyes. I use a MAC 217 brush to help pack on the shadow to add some oomph and darken the crease a bit. Followed with a bit of the multi-tasking highlighting powder in the inner corner of the eyes and a dusting across the brow bone. The brows are kept natural, easy and tamed with a bit of brow gel like this one here. Finish the eyes with a bit of eyeliner- smudged ever so lightly across the lash line, two coats of mascara and voila! The perfect night out or night in smokey eye.
Last but not least the lips must be kept natural yet glossy. A swipe of a natural pinky nude shade like Mirabella Beauty Gossamer Colour Luxe Lip Gloss*-$26 USD to add some color to the lips, topped with Mirabella Beauty Luminosity Colour Luxe Lip Gloss*- $26 USD in the center of the lips for a hint of champagne sparkle to enhance the lips and add some oomph. A girl has to be ready for that midnight kiss… For the hair I kept it simple. Lightly curled waves sprayed with a bit of volumizing spray. Down for a night out with friends and family, or up for a romantic dinner with my main squeeze. Simple easy and polished. So whatever your plans are this New Years Eve, I hope this small snippet of beauty goodness gives you a bit of inspiration you need- but all in all; I hope you have a happy, merry and safe New Years Eve. It is time to say goodbye to 2014 and hello to 2015- I am ready for you! Are you?
