First up, after breaking my two day old compact on a bachelorette party weekend {note to self.. don’t take a compact out when you tend to drop things while dancing}. After getting over the original sadness of breaking my two day old compact and convincing myself that I didn’t need it anymore {lets face it I have way too many compact as it is} I had moved on. Stop by Sephora and walk around on the day they happen to have a Make Up Fore Ever event in store, and well lets just say that no longer need turned into a MUST HAVE! So I picked up another Make Up For Ever Pro- Finish Multi-Use Powder Foundation Compact. I picked up shade No#158 Golden Honey and find it quite nice. The price tag of $36 USD is not too bad considering what your getting. This compact is quite different from other Make Up For Ever compact in the fact that you can wear it dry or wet; blending or building more coverage for the customized look that you wish. It is supposed to work wonders with your skin tone, for a long lasting, flawless complexion. And it is enhanced with nourishing ingredients to help hydrate and soothe skin. I have only used this a handful of times since picking this up, and I LOVE IT! It does what it says and leaves skin beautiful. Don’t get me wrong… I LOVE my beauty blender; however with its steep price tag {at $20 a sponge} I am always on the look out for a new sponge that delivers the same results with just a much cheaper price tag. I picked up this Studio Basics Expert Complexion Sponge, at a whopping $4.99 price tag I am willing to see if this delivers the same results… {Stay tuned for those results in a upcoming post}. Promising to help you achieve a perfect complexion with this easy to hold sponge; we shall see if I will be steering away towards a much cheaper option and leaving the Beauty Blender in the dust….
First things first…. I am sensing a theme going on in this current haul…Hmmmmm…. I am not sure if it is the weather, the season or if I am just opening myself up to much more color. But ever since spying bright lips, bright cheeks, and vivid colors on nails during Spring/Summer Fashion Weeks worldwide; I have been a bit obsessed with the current theme of Pinks and Corals {the brighter the better lately} What started as a quick dash into Sephora and Ulta to pick up some necessities {i.e: Shampoo and a face wash} had me leaving each store with something completely different than what is in my usual comfort zone. I know… I know… yeah…. I have been hauling… and ever so slightly on a shopping spree…. Lets see what made my checkout baskets…

One items that has been on my lists for a while has been Essie’s Cute as a Button. Described as a juicy persimmon; this color is beautiful. Its the perfect coral-ly, watermelon pink. Released back in Summer of 2009; I am not sure why I waited this long to jump on the Cute as a Button train. Needless to say I am currently loving this color. {so much that it is on my nails as I type… with a mix of the next color} Also Essie’s Blanc, is the perfect milky white. I picked this up since I have been a bit obsessed with the Neon collection; and spotted a great tip to make the neon color pop. {paint one coat of Blanc under the neon color for extra variance}. I have never, NEVER been a fan of white polish; but after seeing some great nail ideas of Pinterest I knew I had to have a great white. And I love it so far. A girl can never have too many nail polishes, can she?
Finally, bringing me to lips… these two products are very IN the season at the moment. I have been eyeing both of these for sometime now. I already have tried the KORRES Lip Butters before as I own a few {Plum, Jasmine and Mango to name a few} and I absolutely LOVE them. The sheer wash of color, the glossy finish, and semi but not too sticky feel. So I decided to add to the collection and get the Pomegranate. This sheer wash of creamy coral is been something that I have been reaching for endlessly since I picked it up. I love the moisturizing feel that this butter give your lips, and the pop of color without being to obnoxiously bright. With that being said; my last item is BRIGHT! But it is a perfect, pretty, pink that is full of gloss making it not too overpowering. Urban Decay Cosmetics Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Color in Crush, this runway ready hot pink is AH-MAZING. I love the glossy finish and the fact that it feels like a balm and not a lipstick. These color pumped pencils are PHENOMENAL for those that are seeking a pop of color. This season I have been IN love with brights and the endless looks that you can create with them. Bright lip, natural eye or play it up and go dramatic… Regardless I am loving so expect some see some color combos posted in the future. Its time to put on your shades, enjoy the weather change, and move on with your bad self in a bright colored pout.
I guess sometimes leaving the store with things that you don’t need isn’t really a bad thing, is it?!? What are some of your recent haul purchases?!?
