One of my favorite things to do in the morning besides hitting snooze a few extra times, and before rushing out the door in a hurry- is to enjoy a quick breakfast. Not only is breakfast a great way to start the day, but it is also one of those meal that many people-including myself, have often forgotten about. I am not sure if it is because sleep seems to be a hot commodity around here- as I often deal with a lovely bout of insomnia; or if it is just because I am always busy and have 19 million things going through my mind at once as I am literally rushing out the door.
That is until I decided to get on a “get fit” kick, by doing so I have finally realized how important breakfast really is. It helps start the day and get your body and metabolism going- and boy we all want that. So lately my favorite thing to make is overnight oats. Something about being a simple, super easy, high protein snack that you literally just grab and go, and can enjoy on the road in the morning just screams amazingness!! No cooking involved makes it a solid score. And it no longer leaves an excuse as to why breakfast is not doable. So without further ado it is time to show you one of my favorite on the go overnight oats recipes On The Go Snacks: Peanut Butter Crunch Style #BarNutrition #CollectiveBias…Ahhhhhhhh…. overnight oats- a major staple in an on-the-go kind of morning. No cooking required at all. You just simply mix it up, put in the fridge overnight, and voila. You literally grab and go in the morning. You can eat them cold – I love them this way, or you can heat them up and eat them warm- Easy peasy!
On a recent trip to Walmart, I headed down the cereal aisle to replenish my oats, when I saw something I never noticed before- Life Choice Bars. After reading the flavors and variety I decided to add some oomph to my Overnight Oats in the form of a Meal Replacement Bar. Life Choice Meal Replacement Bars are an amazing and I do mean an AH-MAZING option to stay low-calorie, completely packed with 10 grams of protein and full of fiber- they are easy to grab and are seriously the perfect on-the-go snack whether you choose to replace breakfast, lunch or dinner, or like me add to a recipe for a heartier breakfast- genius.
So I though what better way to add an extra dose of protein and fiber into my yummy overnight oats? I grabbed two Meal Replacement bars flavors: Peanut Butter Crunch and White Chocolate Pretzel– I am taking the White Chocolate Pretzel to work in case of I am in need of a snack, or if I get to busy and time goes by too fast, leaving me to forget lunch- yeah! It has happened once or twice…ooops. The Peanut Butter Crunch is the flavor that I will be adding to my overnight oats. Something about peanut butter in the morning just gets me going and all giggly- ha ha ha. Check out below on how to make your own quick, easy and on the go Peanut Butter Crunch Overnight Oats with Life Choice Bars. {Printable Recipe at the end of post}
