August favorites so far have been a bit of a dilemma this past month for me. I had so many favorites; but in order to not make this post forever long- I had to narrow it down, and stick to the basics. A bit of a under eye primer power, throw in a skincare facial mist, a nude lip that has been my go to lip jam, all topped off with a bit of a skin saving immaculate foundation. Let’s just say these products have me going a bit googly eyed as of late. So get ready for it- we now welcome the August Favorites Edition…. drum roll please….
This month the So Cal weather has been cray-cray. Humid and sweaty gross have been rounding out most of the days. Throw in a bit of 90 degree weather nights- and let’s just say this month has been all about embracing the whole – less is more idea- BIGTIME!! After my skin saving additions last month {I am talking to you Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion} thrown in with a new addition this month, my skin has been ridiculously AH-MAZING despite the gross weather we have been having. This brings me to my skincare favorite of the month One Love Organics Vitamin D Active Moisture Time Released Facial Mist– $39 USD, this mist is hands down AMAZING. I talked about it here, and literally I can’t see how I ever lived without this mist. The perfect amount of moisture sprayed onto; the skin, time released for the times that you will really need it; thrown in with the skin benefits of Vitamin D, Shitake Mushroom and Rose Extract- this facial mist will help skin stay smooth, clear, and hydrated- Instant Love!
Clear skin added with a bit of Hourglass Cosmetics Immaculate Foundation– $55 USD. I have talked about this foundation before {here} but honestly it lives up to its name – Immaculate. It is a liquid to powder finish that literally helps keep skin matte and greasy free all day long. It is gorgeous in the skin, and literally has been a HUGE saving grace this past month during our high heat wave. The coverage is beautiful, and skin looks radiant and flawless. I am IN love with this foundation and definitely see it being re-purchased soon. I toss this on first thing in the morning, followed with a nice light coat of Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Under Eye Primer– $29 USD under the eyes to help add some extra staying power in this heat. This primer is not only ultra hydrating it has some serious concealer locking power. Formulated with under eye benefits to help de-puff, decrease lines and wrinkles and add some much needed radiance this primer is a serious makeup bag must have. This has helped my concealer not only remain cake proof but not budge an instance. Super light weight and literally the best under eye addition EVER!!! Topped with some Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Tinted Eye Brightener– $30 USD, the cult classic concealer in a tube has been my go to for the month to handle the pesky under eye circles, bags, and discolorations. This has helped lighten and brighten my eyes giving me the just slept 10 hours/Kim Kardashian light under eye effect. IN LOVE with the staying power, added to the Smashbox under eye primer and it has an ‘I won’t budge ever’ staying power.
Rounding out the favorites this month is a nude lip pencil that is not only beautiful, but hands down genius. Hourglass Cosmetics Femme Nude Lip Stylo– $30 USD, this is my current lip jam. It is literally genius. 6 nude shades to go with all skin tones. I have been reaching for number 5 as it is a shimmery golden peach that is perfect in all aspects. It is the perfect size to toss into a makeup bag or evening clutch, application is flawless in a twist up wand. It is creamy on the lips with a hint of full coverage and satin finish- Hands down lourve! So there you have it- some much reached for product love that round out the favorites- another monthly, favorites in the books. I can’t wait to see what is making the list next month.
