Awwww September… what a month you have been. With the beginning of the month being extremely hot to the end of the month starting to grasp a bit of the chill factor- awwww- the beginning of Fall. I love it! As we wrap up summer and start to bring forth the fall, it’s also that time of the month for some good favorites. And this month has been a good one. With a pressed pigmented budget buy, a skin cooling, clearing cleanser, a perfume sweet as candy and a foundation that is light as air- I am starting to figure out a method to my madness, I promise… But I can say that this month I have all the bases covered from face to scent- without further ado; I bring forth Monthly Favorites- September Edition…
Where to start… hmmmm…. As this month was coming to an end, my skin started to slowly have a bit of a congested, breakout action. So it was time to breakout the big guns, and whip my skin back into the tip top shape. Dermalogica Dermal Clay Cleanser -$52 USD, this skin perfecting cleanser deep cleanse the skin to help un-congest the skin. With a bit of Kaolin and Green Clay this cleanser helps refine the skins texture and heal- revitalizing even the most congested skin. I love using this cleanser at both day and night to keep those pesky breakouts under control all while leaving a slight tingle to the skin with its menthol action. My skin soaks this cleanser up and within a week it is clearer. I’d call that some serious skin care action at its finest- Love!!!
After the skin is in tip top condition, it is time to move forward with a bit of makeup love. To help even out the skin and great it prepped for color, I have been reaching for Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup with SPF 15 -$45 USD. This super light foundation is phenomenal. It blends perfectly with the fingers, and literally the lightest amount covers the entire skin with its hybrid like fluid allowing the skin to glow with beauty and radiance. I love that it contains a SPF in it as well to help protect you from UVA/UVB rays; but unlike other SPF holding foundation this foundation doesn’t cause that flash black- goodbye ghost face. I follow this foundation with Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Concealer & Treatment-$8.99 USD. I am obsessed with this concealer as it is AH-MAZING and the coverage is phenomenal. Topped with a micro-corrector applicator, this concealer applies to the skin via its swiveled up applicator beautifully and flawlessly on the skin. Formulated with Haoxyl this concealer helps reduce the look of puffiness, dark shadows and decrease in the appearance of fine lines. Obsessed!!!
On the eyes I have been reaching for a budget buy that channels very closely to a high end eye shadow- { hmmm… Chanel Illusion D’Ombre}, L’Oreal Infallible 24 hour eye shadow– $7.99 USD are probably the best budget buy ever. With over 14 beautiful colors, these pressed pigments with their hybrid like cream to powder finish are beautiful on the eyes. Followed with a few coats of mascara and voila- you have some instant long lasting eye action. A bit of color on the lips have been rounding out my makeup picks for September and what better amount of color than Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss-$20 USD. I have been reaching heavily for the shades Hibiscus and Sorbet; both colors are GORGEOUS on the lips. Loaded with Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E and Shea Butter these non-sticky glosses are the way to go. And let’s not forget that they also connect perfectly with other Jouer products to round out your travel friendly palette. Multi-tasking, travel love!
Last but not least, I am rounding out the favorites with a bit of good smelling scent action. Prada Candy L’Eau– $68 USD is probably going to land in one of my all time favorite scents. With a bit of freshness paired with a floral musk this perfume is glorious and beautiful on the skin. Literally true to its name- Candy, I am obsessed with this. Long lasting this scent is both elegant and zestful as it captures your attention with a slight note of caramel for added sweetness. I promised spritz this baby on, and everyone will be asking ‘What are you wearing’all day long. A beautiful scent that is my current go to. I can see me and Candy have a bit of a long term love affair. Brilliantly…
So there you have it- a moisturizing lip gloss that connects to a palette, a budget buy like no other, and a scent that is sweet as candy are just a few that round out the favorites this month. From skin to makeup to scent- here’s a goodbye to you September and Hello October- bring on the Fall!
