More skincare…. If I am out and about during the weekend and lose a bit of Sunday Pamper Loving, I usually tend to bust out my skincare pamper routine midweek. Especially considering by mid-week- let’s face it– skin is in need of some major love and pampering. After reading a post a while back on Vivianna Does Makeup, outlining her Wednesday skincare session, I decided that this week’s Skincare Highlights would be based on her Wednesday pick me up. Vivianna + Skincare Pamper, yeah it’s time to try this baby out; so brace yourselves this is a good one- I now welcome you to Skin Care Highlights vol. 2.
During the week, with the random levels of life and the hectic daily stress we put on ourselves and out skin, by mid-week out stress levels are considered to be at their max. And I am talking at the point where you just wanna SCREAM!!!! However, according to Vivianna a great way to combat this feeling is some good old skincare pampering. A bit of chillaxing, mixed with some soothing music, and topped with a good old skincare session…. Hmmmm… sounds like my kind of Wednesday. Here is what I used this week and joined in the Wednesday Skincare Pick me up Pamper…
First things first in the pm lineup, coming home from work I take the day off the skin and dive right in to a great deep cleansing, followed with a nice thin layer of a recent obsession, Glam Glow YouthMud TingleExfoliate Treatment– $69 USD; put this baby on for 10 minutes and watch the nasties and excessive oil come to the surface. Washed right out and boom… instantly radiant and glowing skin- and ultra baby soft skin. Instant Love…. Followed by a beefed up layer of moisture by adding a layer of Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil Light- $48 USD; a drop or two of this lightweight facial oil and skin instantly is filled with a burst of hydration. Added bonus- this oil can be used for everything- you know me and the multi-tasking beauties…. This week my skin has been on a bit of a freak out session- a la Mother nature and the wonderful weather changing; so I dab a bit of my go-to for these moments. Enter Mario Badescu Drying Lotion– $17 USD, this super fast acting pink wonder in a bottle is hands down PHENOMENAL. Formulated with salicylic acid, calamine and sulfur this quick drying product will literally rid the skin of bacteria and those pesky bumps overnight while you sleep. I am obsessed with this product and its glorious ways of wonder.
Come morning, I wash my face with a great clay cleanser, follow with a good tone and add some much needed hydration back into the skin via Chanel Hydra Beauty Creme – $87 USD. This moisturizer is powerful at throwing the moisture back into the skin. Formulated with Chanel’s combination of Camellia Alba PFA {Polyfractioned Active}, and a bit of Blue Ginger PFA- making this moisturizer the perfect ultimate hydration mixed with moisture retention within the skin cells- thirsty skin no more. One last product that has been working its way into a solid skincare and really shinning is Clark’s Botanicals Anti-Puff Eye Cream*– $87 USD. This anti-puff eye cream is perfect to target my stubborn puffy eyes and dark circles when I am lacking a bit of sleep. A combination of Vitamin A, E, K and Isoflavin this eye cream is perfect for both day and night use. Extra bonus- can be used on forehead lines to help get of them. I call that a bit of amazing instant love. Score!!!
So there you have it, five new products, a new skincare routine, a mid week pick me up, and a solid helping of moisture. I can honestly say, I think that Wednesdays might be making a mid-week pamper a solid occurrence….
